Android oreo grows in market share but is still very low
Table of contents:
Google has released the latest breakdown of its mobile platform usage showing the proportion of active devices running each version of the Android operating system. Data is collected over a 7-day period ending April 16, and only represents devices that visited the Google Play Store during that period, so they do not include AOSP devices. Android Oreo has experienced a significant growth, although it continues with a market share that is too low.
Android Oreo improves, but still does not take off
Android Oreo has had a growth of 3.3% compared to two months ago, despite this, it is still only 4.6% of all Android devices, which is bad enough for an official update of the operating system that came out almost eight months ago. To make matters even worse, only 0.5% of devices are on the latest version, released four months ago.

Fragmentation has always been the big problem on the Google platform, with each new version the hope arises that this may change, but if it has not happened so far there is not much reason to think that it could happen in the medium term.
