Athlon 300ge appears in 3dmark database
Table of contents:
The Athlon 200GE is one of the most basic processors we can find on the market right now, although it is not based on the new 7nm manufacturing process. It only has two cores and comes with an integrated GPU. It seems that very soon this chip will have its replacement, the Athlon 300GE.
Athlon 300GE reaches 269 points Fire Strike Ultra 1.1
The Athlon 300GE has been seen in the popular 3DMark tool, where we can see that it scores 269 in the Fire Strike Ultra 1.1 test.
This score is not the best, considering that an Athlon 200GE scores about 267 points in this same test. This could have two explanations. The first is that the processor is an early sample and does not work optimally yet. The other is that AMD simply changes the name of the processor to sell it as if it were new with hardly any changes. This means that it is probably not based on the new 7nm generation, as is already the case with current 3000 series APUs running on a 12nm node.

This follows from the frequencies at which the Athlon 300GE is shown to be operating. The chip seen in 3DMark works with a base frequency of 3.4GHz. This is 200 MHz more than the Athlon 200GE and the same as the 220GE. As the results of the tests hardly show any improvements in performance, it does herald the worst.
However, we still leave room for doubt until this low-end processor is officially announced by AMD. We will keep you informed.
