We receive the Doogee Shoot 1 in a black box. With a picture of the product (first data from its double camera) and in medium size letters the model we have purchased.

Once we open the box we find:

One of the highlights of this mobile is undoubtedly based on its design, with gray metal frames and rear area. The Doogee Shoot 1 offers a better appearance than previous versions that we have been able to check internally. As for the colors, this smartphone is available in its versions: gold, gray and silver. Its measurements are 15.6 cm long x 7.7 cm wide x 0.87 cm thick with a weight of 167 grams.

On the right side we find a power button and a slot to connect or two SIM or SIM card plus microSD card.

While the left side controls the volume down and up.

Already in the lower area we have a speaker, microphone and miniUSB connection.

We reach the upper area and present a single sound input.

Display and hardware

The Doogee Shoot 1 is a mobile that has interesting specifications, including a 5.5-inch IPS screen with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and offering very good quality for watching movies.

Pixel density is relatively good at 401 pixels per inch and has 68% usable area. In the case of a Chinese smartphone, it seems to us a great option.

Color management is good, but sometimes it will be necessary to adjust the brightness to maximum to see properly.

Although it is a mobile with a basic price, we are in front of a very good low / medium range. Internally it has a quad-core Mediatek MT6737T processor, a chip that is common in entry-level computers, which in this case is supported by 2 GB of RAM.

For internal memory, it has 16 GB that can be expanded up to an additional 128 GB by using MicroSD memory cards.

Autonomy is pretty good. This mobile will exceed 1 day before it needs to be recharged, or even 2 days if you make moderate use. The battery is 3, 300 mAh lithium polymer, therefore it seems more than enough for this phone, but unfortunately Shoot 1 does not have fast charge, which makes charging from 0 to 100% a little longer.

Regarding the sound it is also surprising… since it is powerful and of very good quality. As many of you know, this input range usually has a low sound that is sometimes not heard. But the playback with Netflix, youtube and in calls is really good. Good job Doogee! ?

Front and rear camera

Cameras are the fundamental part of multimedia, which is why the Doogee Shoot 1 is one of those very interesting smarptones. Specifically, we have a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash with auto-focus and HDR… but this is not all, since it comes with a second 8 Mpx camera. What do we have two rear cameras for? Basically it shoots for both, improving resolution, quality and greater depth in our shots. By including double flash, it offers better lighting on stage.

Regarding the front camera, we have an 8 Mpx camera to have good selfies with our friends or partner.

What quality does the camera offer? It's pretty good! For the price range we are used to seeing for this price in china. They are not those of a Samsung Galaxy S7 but it does have a small difference to the rest.

Where we find the worst experience is in low light situations. Totally normal, since almost all mobiles their behavior is quite poor.

performance

The Mediatek processor installed in this phone cannot work miracles, but it offers a warrior performance for the day to day.

In concrete terms, the mobile is capable of operating the main games in 3D, smoothly. It remains to be seen how he will react to the heaviest games that will be released in the coming months, but it does not look bad at all.

For memory storage, the 16 GB declared by the manufacturer seems few, so we recommend expanding it with a microSD memory, you can add up to 128 extra gigabytes.

Connectivity

It is dual SIM with compatibility in the 850 MHz band, which will allow you to manage 2 SIM cards simultaneously (however, you will not be able to receive calls at the same time), ideal for those users who use their mobile for business and personal use.

As expected, this smartphone also has all the necessary connectivity for users: Wi-fi (b / g / n), bluetooth (4.0), a-GPS, FM radio, micro-USB (2.0), card slot micro SD (128 GB maximum) and 3.5 mm jack (CTIA).

This smartphone comes equipped with Android Marshmallow 6.0. It is an operating system in which Dooge has hardly made any modifications. It is very similar to the Nexus range and we liked that a lot.

Use with one hand is something that can be achieved with this smartphone, even if you are going to write an SMS, so you will not need both.

The Doogee Shoot 1 is a very good quality Chinese smartphone. Both in its design and the quality of its components. We really liked that it incorporates in its bundle: TPU gel case, screen protector and a wide variety of accessories.

Its hardware is fairly balanced with a 4-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. Although it seems that it is little storage, being able to expand it up to 128 GB through a microSD card.

By incorporating a Mediatek processor it predicts little confidence in future updates . Therefore, we are almost certain that we will die with the current Android 6.0. At least, without rooting or cooking our own ROM. For power we are more than enough to play and daily use.
