I can only say: thank you, thank you and thank you. THANKS to all of you, yes, to those 3.5 million unique users who follow us monthly for making our dream come true. This dream is to enjoy working in what we are passionate about : computing and offer you our most sincere opinion.

If 2018 was difficult at a personal and work level. This 2019 has been more complex than I expected. First I have increased the template with several editors. José has taken my witness in reviews and tutorials , Ana has given freshness with her reviews of peripherals, gagdets and tutorials , Gustavo follows the orders of the freshest hardware news from early in the day , Eder brings his experience with telephony and news of technology, Ángel and Manuel have been writing for a short time, but they are covering various hardware issues very well, Breixo continues to show us that he is the largest specialist in power supplies in Spain with his analyzes, Roberto is somewhat more absent due to his new work experience, but still in the shade. We will soon enjoy your texts again! ? and there is the server, which does everything, the multipurpose.

Also thank the people who have contributed their bit this year and our faithful from the forum. We are few but we are good people : P. Especially to the moderators Fer94 and Yonigeek. And to the users who are always on the pinion: Bully, juanvi67, dario, SkylarAstarot, Pomelo, umbriel, Nasher_87, Nano Kanpro and a long etcetera (Sorry if I leave any, but they are many names). Thank you! Although I hope you are all more active commenting on the web. We always like to hear the good and the bad. It is what I miss most daily.

As I was saying, it has been a difficult year . We have had many launches, many trips to bring you all the news in person and a large outlay to improve our test bench and tools. We have also needed a learning period with these new utilities and now that we are 100% we want to improve on some reviews. The most constant you will know that we have nothing to envy to other international media: our analyzes on monitors, laptops, processors, motherboards, graphics card and peripherals are very TOP.

We continue to be the second hardware medium with the highest traffic in Spain and Latin America. Nothing happens because we are not the first, we enjoy doing this job. A few months ago we migrated to a dedicated server with a Dual Intel Xeon, 64 GB of RAM, an SSD RAID, etc… and in October / November we put our batteries in and further optimized the Professional Review website. We are now the fastest Spanish-speaking hardware website, loading less than 1 ~ 1.5 seconds and weighing less than 1MB.

Beating our records in EVERYTHING

We have written 5, 962 articles this year, we have released 422 reviews among hardware, peripherals, software, video games and networks. We believe that with this data we can say that we are the undisputed leaders in Spanish-speaking analysis and I would say that in the entire world.

We have updated all the guides and configurations on the web. We have incorporated a lot of material this year. Our experience has helped you a lot and that is why we try to upload 1 to 2 tutorials daily. We received many support emails for choosing components and many others to congratulate us on the work. Thank you! We will continue working hard this 2020!

2019 hardware overview

We had a weird first quarter, with few major releases but quite a few moves. The most prominent was found in March with the launch of the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti. A graphics card that performs very well Full HD and in 2560 x 1440p. We also tested the Nvidia GTX 1660 a cheaper version, but if we overclock it performs the same as the 1660 Ti. A good way to save a few euros and buy other more powerful components.

A little later the 4 GB Nvidia GTX 1650 GB was released . This GPU did not perform as we expected, but Nvidia has managed to win the low / medium range with the GTX 1650 SUPER (which was released last month). At the end of May things got much more interesting!

Computex went a long way, but what we liked the most was the launch of the new AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, Ryzen 7 3800X, Ryzen 7 3700X, Ryzen 5 3600X processors and their new APUS 3400G and 3200G. CPUs that have managed to gain ground to the ninth generation of Intel processors. For this alone, it has already been worth it this year. Whoever says otherwise is not a hardware lover!

We have also tested the new NVME PCI Express 4.0 SSDs. Its read and write rates are beastly. A small sample:

Aorus and Corsair were the first to launch these ultra fast solid state drives. We have also tested the main X570 motherboards from the AM4 socket. We have had many joys, although what we liked least is its price and that little fan in the chipset.

While AMD was launching many new features… Intel has not made a move and only security problems have come up.

We also saw during Computex the new Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED. A laptop that we have loved for its OLED screen and cooling system. And we consider it the best in the field of design for this 2019. We highly recommend reading our analysis.

WE RECOMMEND YOU Plex launches a new section of Podcasts

A little later the new RTX 2060 SUPER, RTX 2070 SUPER and RTX 2080 SUPER arrive. A good refreshment of the previous generation and that we believe has come in handy to renew some models of some assemblers.

AMD hit with its AMD Radeon RX 5700 and Radeon RX 5700XT with their reference models and dropping their prices. But we were also able to test some Custom with the ASUS RX 5700XT Strix. We think they are good graphics cards, but they still lack some time for their drivers to be fine-tuned. Are you agree?

In this last quarter we have been able to test both the Ryzen 3950X and the Threadripper 3960X and 3970X. The latter with their TRX40 motherboards. What a past of processors… They have freaked us out! We cannot say the same for the i9-10980XE… It has been widely criticized by all means and with good reason. A rehash of the i9-9980xe with a slightly higher frequency and costing half the price. But not enough to prefer it over the sTR4 socket Threadrippers.

What do we expect for 2020?

The first leaks of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3980X and 3990X are appearing. So we shouldn't be surprised to see these new beasts during the first quarter. They will not be cheap, but for lovers of Workstations they will be very appetizing CPUs.

Surely we will see new laptops with a new wave of processors (10th generation of Intel) and graphics cards by Nvidia and AMD. What do you think?

Ray Tracing arrived two summers ago and it looks like Nvidia Ampere will be the good wave of graphics cards. We bet we will see a preview at Computex this year. Although his successor, Nvidia Hopper, is already playing…

We also believe that we will see the first AMD Ryzen 4000 at Computex. This last generation will close the AM4 socket, but it is already being said that its performance will be up to 20% faster. We believe it will be around 8 to 10%. What do you think?

If you think that we will only have CPU news with Intel and AMD. Keep an eye on Qualcomm with its Snapdragon 8cx, which will have a performance similar to the i5-8250u but with much greater autonomy and very low temperatures. How eager to try this new chip on a laptop!

With this I finish the summary and my farewell letter of 2019. 2020 will bring many new features at the hardware level, but Professional Review will bring many improvements, functionalities and many raffles. Stay tuned these days, we are going to start strong this year.
