The Skype application has always been one of the best valued by users. The opportunity to make calls or video calls for free and very simple, as if it were an instant messaging application, is something that users like.

Those of you who know the application know that its design has not changed much over time. And also that there is little news. Microsoft decided to listen to user comments and has subjected the Skype application to a facelift. A new design. But, the result is not as expected.

New design on Skype

Skype's new design has generated controversy. It reminds many users of the Snapchat design. In fact, they are complaining that Skype is now trying to copy apps like Snapchat or Instagram with a new design. And that is not liking anything.

Users do not see Skype as a substitute for these applications and are making themselves heard. Skype scores in different app stores in the United States or United Kingdom have plummeted as a result of the new design. In the United States it has dropped 1.5 stars and in the United Kingdom it currently stands at one rating star.

Microsoft has made a mistake with this design change so they have to find solutions. Apparently they are thinking of making small changes to the interface, although the Skype design is here to stay. Do you use the application? What do you think about the new design?
