We previously released some details on Ice Lake and Intel's Gen11 Integrated Graphics (iGPU), revealing some cool things about the architecture. It hasn't been long before information on the performance of this new generation of integrated graphics begins to leak.

Intel Gen11 performance revealed in Ashes of the Singularity

The first benchmark has been filtered courtesy of TUMAPISAK. Intel's Gen 11 GPU will mark a milestone, being the first to reach 1 TFLOPs of power (XBOX One has a power of 1.3 TFLOPs)

At first glance, Gen11 manages to double the performance of the current iGPU HD 620 (Gen9), which is positioning it in the range of the NVIDIA GeForce MX130.

There are some points to keep in mind before evaluating these results. The source claims that this is an engineering sample, so it does not have adequate graphics drivers, and more importantly, it is an Intel processor model for laptops. Even so, the performance obtained seems to be exceeding the expectations that were on this iGPU.

The Intel Gen11 GPU processor gets an average of 20.4 fps at the low Ashes of the Singularity setting. An Intel UHD 620 reaches approximately 10 fps while an MX110 and MX130 reach 17.7 and 20.1 respectively. This is great news for those PC users who don't have the budget to purchase a graphics card but still want to play some casual games (Fortnite, League of Legends, etc.).

The Gen11 GPU will be perfect for the ultrabook industry, as many equipment manufacturers now have to introduce separate cooling solutions for an MX110 or MX130.

Although the results look good, the MX150 is still comfortably ahead of the Gen11 GPU, hitting 28.9 fps at 1080p.
