Unboxing and design

The Gigabyte Force K85 RGB comes perfectly protected inside a cardboard box. The box presents the usual design of the brand's products with a predominance of its corporate colors and a high-level impression. The box shows us a high-resolution image of the keyboard, as well as its most important features such as switches with a life of 70 million keystrokes, and the advanced RGB LED backlight system. On the back of the box we have more details about the specifications of this keyboard.

We open the box and we find the Gigabyte Force K85 RGB very well protected, the keyboard is covered by a plastic bag and accommodated by two pieces of high-density foam so that it does not move during transport. Together with him, we found the documentation.

They are linear and very smooth switches, characteristics that make them ideal for video games. Gigabyte promises a durability of 70 million keystrokes, a sample of the high quality of these switches.

High-quality keys are placed on the switches , made of PBT material and double injection technology so that the characters do not erase over time. These keycaps are of the highest quality, ensuring excellent durability. The characters are quite marked, making it clear that it is a keyboard designed to be used with and without lighting.

In the back we find two folding plastic legs that allow us to slightly lift the keyboard for greater comfort of use if the user considers it appropriate. There are also the rubber feet, which are responsible for keeping it completely stable on the table. The keyboard works with a 1.8 meter long USB cable and rubberized to increase resistance, we miss the gold-plated USB to avoid wear and tear over time.

Gigabyte Force software

Gigabyte Force K85 RGB can be used without installing any software, although it is highly recommended to use the application to get the most out of it. To download the software, all you have to do is go to the manufacturer's official website.

Once the software is installed, we open it and see that the application remains in the background. This software offers us the possibility to configure lighting in 16.8 million colors and various light effects. We can adjust the speed of the color transition and the intensity of the lighting, which is very powerful.
