Today we have the pleasure of bringing you an interesting combo consisting of the Hyperx Pulsefire Core mouse and the HyperX Fury S Speed Edition mat. A combination that together oozes quality in its materials, good gaming performance with RGB lighting and 7 programmable buttons using the brand's software. If you are looking for a mouse with excellent features, comfortable and at an affordable price, do not forget also that a mat will allow you to better control this mouse in shooter games. For all this, don't miss our comprehensive review of the Kingston team.

First of all, thank Kingston HyperX for the trust placed in us to give us the products for the analysis.

HyperX Pulsefire Core technical features

Unboxing and design

Both HyperX Pulsefire Core and HyperX Fury S Speed Edition have come into our hands in a neutral cardboard box of considerable dimensions to house the two products of the analysis inside. Each of them comes in a separate box and protected by inflated plastic cushions to ensure the boxes arrive in perfect condition with no movement.

Each of the boxes responsible for storing the components are presented in red and white, typical different from the brand, and a lot of information about each product.

The interior organization is quite simple, a cardboard frame for the mouse that does not allow any movement inside it or scratch with the metallic USB connector. The mat simply comes rolled up in its box with accessibility from the outside to be touched through two windows.

In addition to the products, we also find the corresponding documentation along with some presentation and advertising elements.

HyperX Pulsefire Core is a mouse designed for gaming with an average cost that bets on the quality of materials and high performance. This is why it mounts a Pixart 3327 optical sensor and offers a resolution of up to 6, 200 DPI. A very good sensor that will undoubtedly allow us a good sensitivity in small and fast movements typical of games.

This resolution can be changed quickly with its two buttons located behind the navigation wheel. One of them will be to increase DPI and the other to decrease.

At the top of HyperX Pulsefire Core we find two programmable buttons, which are the ones that are in charge of configuring the DPI mode, and a scroll wheel. Similarly we find the two main buttons. Thanks to the software that we will have if we go to its official website, we will have the possibility to program the functions of each of them to our liking.

The access to the buttons is very comfortable and they have a control hard enough not to accidentally press them. The wheel is of good dimensions and is covered with ribbed rubber so that it does not leak, although it will not have RGB lighting on its periphery.

The mouse is completely made of plastic and has dimensions of 119 x 64 x 41 mm and a weight of 87 grams. They are relatively small measures, so with very large hands it will be a little small, especially to access the DPI control controls, in my personal case I have a large hand and the problem is not worrisome.

As for the weight, it is a fairly light mouse that will allow fast and precise movements if we choose to use a mat like the one that comes in our pack. With the absence of it, we may lose precision in movements due to low weight.

We can see that it is a completely symmetrical mouse, which will allow us maximum compatibility for both right-handed and left-handed users. Despite this, it is a very comfortable device that adapts well to the hand due to its lateral terminations, especially in the palm type, although it also fits well with the claw, something that will undoubtedly be advantageous for both types of users.

The touch is typical of a hard plastic mouse, so in this aspect little to highlight, except the sides that we will now see in more detail.

On its left side we find two additional buttons of good dimensions and very well located and with enough hardness so as not to accidentally press them. These buttons will of course be customizable with the software.

On both sides we have an optimized area for grip made of ribbed plastic and with a good roughness.

We go to the bottom of this HyperX Pulsefire Core to find two large Teflon surfers located in the front and rear that allow a fairly smooth glide both with and without a mat. The connectivity of this mouse is through a 1.8 meter braided USB cable.

Finally we finish with the indicating that in its part it will bring and coinciding with the logo, we have a programmable RGB lighting area both in color and intensity and modes, thanks to the corresponding software.

About the HyperX Fury S Speed Edition mat we can say that in the S version that we have, it has measures of 290 x 240 x 4 mm and a weight of 125 grams. The surface of this is built in synthetic fabric that allows us a very soft touch and a fast but controllable glide. As it could not be otherwise, the mat is compatible with all kinds of devices, both laser and optical.

In the lower area it is made of rubber and its edges are reinforced by thread seams.

HyperX NGenuity software

HyperX Pulsefire Core has software to allow us to program both the output of the mouse buttons and the RGB lighting that it has.

Through this application we can update the firmware of the mouse, as well as define different RGB lighting profiles and button customization. With just one click we can load the configuration of each profile according to what we need at all times.

We can adjust a color associated with each selected speed mode to quickly identify the state of our mouse. Define color modes and macros with different button configurations.

It is a simple but quite complete software that will allow us to make the most of the possibilities of our purchase. Something like that is appreciated, we can also download it for free and in perfect Spanish.

To finish we leave some images of the device assembled and working with some of its colors and the combination with the mat.

Final words and conclusion about HyperX Pulsefire Core

HyperX Pulsefire Core is undoubtedly a gaming mouse with very good features, especially techniques. It has a very good performance sensor, consequently reaching up to 6200 DPI and with excellent precision. If we make a set with its mat, we will gain precision and movement, since it is a fairly light mouse in itself.

One of the most notable features is the possibility of managing the entire mouse through its software, something that is necessary in a mouse of these characteristics and price. RGB lighting looks great on him, although we do miss an equally illuminated trackball, something that would greatly enhance the aesthetic.

The touch of the buttons is very good and designed for gaming with a firm and hard mechanism, but if it is excessive. Especially on the side buttons. The operation of the wheel is also very good and with the positions well marked.

We recommend our guide to the best mice on the market

The whole set allows a correct grip, although we pay a little comfort for being a symmetrical mouse. Due to this the design we think that it is a bit simple and gives us the feeling of having a cheaper product than it really is.

The mat is also very well built with fabric and rubber, the difference between using and dispensing with it is quite noticeable, when it comes to hand comfort and movement.

Finally we must see the economic section, HyperX Pulsefire Core we will have it available for a price of 40 euros on the official Hyperx page and the mat for 12 euros. These are not particularly cheap figures, although HyperX is distinguished by a quality brand and that makes the product more expensive.
