Kingston HyperX Pulsefire and Fury S technical characteristics
Unboxing and design
First of all we look at the Kingston HyperX Pulsefire mouse that comes inside a cardboard box with the corporate colors of the brand, once we remove the sliding cover we reveal a totally black box inside which the mouse comes next to the documentation.
The HyperX Pulsefire Mouse is built with a 127.54mm x 41.94mm x 71.07mm black plastic body and weighs 95 grams without the cable and 120 grams with the cable. It is a mouse with a medium size pulling large so it is more suitable for users who have large hands, its design is optimized for palm grip although it can be adapted to claw grip if you have smaller hands. As we can see, the mouse is attached to a braided USB cable with a length of 1.8 meters.
In the upper area of the mouse we see the two main buttons next to the wheel and an auxiliary button to change the DPI mode. The two main buttons are made of a single piece of plastic and hide Omron mechanisms with a durability of 20 million clicks, it is a mouse designed for FPS fans so it is designed to last a long time withstanding very demanding use.
The wheel is rubberized to improve the grip on our finger, its route is very pleasant in all kinds of short and long trips.
On the left side we find two auxiliary buttons that are configured to go back and forth in the web browser, once inside the game we can assign the function we want. Under these buttons there is a piece of rubber to improve the grip of the mouse on our hand and prevent it from flying away in sudden movements.
The right side is totally free beyond another piece of rubber to improve grip.
On the back we find the HyperX logo that is part of the lighting system as we will see later.
In the lower part of the mouse is its high-precision Pixart PMW3310 optical sensor, it is the top-of-the-range model from the previous generation and has almost nothing to envy the PMW 3360, which is the current top of the range. Among its most notable characteristics we find an acceleration of 30 G, a sampling rate of 130 IPS and a maximum resolution in this case of 3200 DPI. Thanks to the dedicated button at the top we can switch between 400/800/1600/3200 DPI at fly and without the need for any software.
We see the lighting of the mouse, this is fixed and red.
We now focus on the HyperX Fury S mat, in our case we have the L model with a size of 450mm x 400mm, this gives us a large surface on which to slide our mouse in the best possible way and without problems. As we see the mat has a design based on the black color, the brand logo in the lower right corner is responsible for breaking with excess black.
The surface of the HyperX Fury S is made of a very dense fabric, thus providing a very uniform surface on which to slide the mouse very smoothly to achieve very precise operation, the edges are sewn to prevent fraying with what we will last a long time.
The bottom of the mat is made of non-slip rubber, perfect for it to be well fixed on our table and not move at all.
This is how the mouse is next to the mat:
Final words and conclusion about Kingston HyperX Pulsefire and Fury S
With HyperX Pulsefire and Fury S Kingston it provides a very interesting combo for all gamers and PC users in general, on the one hand we have a very ergonomic and precise mouse and on the other hand we have a mat that is perfect to slide it in a very smooth way. The mat remains completely stable on the table and does not move at all, partly due to its weight and partly due to the rubber underside. Thanks to the stitched and reinforced edges it prevents it from degrading so we have a mat for a long time.
The HyperX FPS mouse gives us a highly accurate weapon thanks to the use of a PMW 3310 optical sensor, even if it is from the previous generation, let's not forget that it was the top of the range until the arrival of the PMW 3360, so quality is not lacking. The DPI adjustment button is very well placed, accessible without problems but it will also prevent us from accidentally pressing it in the middle of the game.
The ergonomics of the mouse is very good, especially for users with large hands, although if your hands are smaller, you can opt for a claw-type grip as long as it does not harm you.
In short, a highly recommended combo for all PC users, the HyperX Pulsefire mouse is priced at € 46 while the HyperX S size L mousepad is priced at € 20.
