Intel coffee lake may be compatible with z270 (lga 1151)
Table of contents:
Everything indicated that the launch of the next Intel Koffee Lake series would have new motherboards with the Z300 and H300 chipsets. After leaking the performance tests of the new six-core Coffee Lake processor with SiSoft Sandra it gives a 360º turn and gives hope to the users of the Kaby Lake platform.
Intel Coffee Lake may be compatible with Z270
As we see in the screenshot, it seems that the tests were carried out on a Z270 chipset motherboard. If this is officially confirmed by Intel. With a simple BIOS update we can choose to update our processor to a six-core and 6-thread CPU without the need to change the motherboard. Although it would be the first time in many years that Intel will reuse the same platform, LGA 1151, for three generations of processor distances .
We recommend reading the best motherboards on the market.
From my personal opinion, I think it is possibly a bad reading of the software. And that surely we will see motherboards of the Z300 chipset… although if we can finally reuse the Z270, it will be great news for the end user.
We ask you! Do you think this is a bad read on the software or will Intel reuse the current motherboards to add the new processors? Will we see any more improvements or will it all be very light?
