Raytracing technology from the makers of Gran Turismo
Gran Turismo Sport, in addition to other racing games available today, make use of a simplified version that simulates the effect. So far the results are positive, but there is room for improvement. Since what happens in each scene is not calculated accurately. This is something that can be expected to change with raytracing technology. Polyphony Digital has already mentioned that they work on it and that they explore the possibilities of using it.
It has not been confirmed at the moment that the company will use it in any new installment of the saga. But in part it will depend on its performance. Since they have mentioned that the saga has to reach 60 images per second.
So we should not download that the next installment of Gran Turismo is going to make use of raytracing technology. Surely in the coming months we will have more concrete data on the company's plans in this regard.
