Msi nightblade mi3 review in Spanish (full analysis)

The MSI series of computers is expanding and becoming more interesting. Specifically, we have had in our laboratory the new MSI Nightblade Mi3 with Intel Kaby Lake processor and a 6GB GTX 1060 graphics card.

Inside we find a 128 GB Intel 600P SSD with a reading of 770 MB / s and a writing of 450 MB / s. For data we have a 3.5 ″ mechanical disk with 1TB of storage signed by Western Digital.

Now we are located in the middle area that is where all the "chicha" is. We see that the whole interior is quite deep and that the wiring seems to have a good routing.

We find a small heatsink with two towers with a small fan between them. We believe that although it is better than a stock heatsink, you could opt for a compact 120mm liquid cooling giving better performance and aesthetics to a Gaming barebone.

On the RAM memory it incorporates a single 16GB DDR4 module. After reviewing the documentation we have seen that we can expand up to 32GB DDR4 in its two available sockets.

The chosen processor is i5-7400 with 4 cores and 4 threads but without overclocking capacity. Its base speed is 3 GHz and goes up to 3.5GHz when Turbo mode is activated. It also has 6 MB of cache memory and a consumption (TDP) of 65W.

Reaching one of the most interesting points we find an MSI GTX 1060 Gaming with 6GB GDDR5 memory. This model is one of the most purchased on the market as it is a cool heatsink with good overclocking potential and has 0DB functionality, that is, a fan that is stopped at low load.

Regarding connectivity, it has a Gigabit network card Signed by Qualcomm QCA8171 and an Intel AC 3168 wireless network card (M.2 2230).

Finally highlight the small 1U format power supply that incorporates the MSI Nightblade Mi3. Endorsed with a power of 350W and with 80 Plus Bronze certification. Although that small fan is not the best solution we could have implemented, it is barely heard at rest and when loaded.

Game performance tests and benchmarks

One of the most interesting tests on this Nightblade Mi3 barebone is on the Intel 600P SSD with 128GB NVMe format. As we can see on the screen, it meets the expectations created with 770 MB / s in reading and 450 MB / s in writing.

The Nightblade Mi3 is positioned among one of the best options on the market with a reduced format. An ideal team for virtual reality, playing at 1080p and 1440p resolutions, very low power consumption and a really good level of processing.

The incorporation of a quality sound card, its RGB lighting, portability and a compact design make it a very portable and valuable device for users who are going to LAN Party.

Being a processor that does not allow overclocking and having a more than efficient heatsink, we have temperatures of just 22ºC at idle and 49ºC at maximum performance. While the graph never exceeds 65ºC at Full.
