NZXT has been one of the greatest exponents in PC cases for many years, today is a great day since we will shield you from analyzing the mini-ITX NZXT Manta box to analyze. Currently available in colors: black, white and black / red. Don't miss our review!

First of all, thank us to NZXT for the trust placed in giving us the product for their review.

Technical characteristics NZXT Blanket

NZXT Unboxing and outdoor blanket

The NZXT Manta is a small box but it is protected in a robust and strong cardboard box. On the cover we find an image of the product and in large letters the model we have.

Once we opened the box we found two polystyrene protections and a plastic bag that covers the entire tower.

Once we open the box we find the following bundle:

  • NZXT Blanket box. Screws, flanges and instructions manual.

The NZXT Manta has dimensions of 245 x 426 x 450 mm (width x height x depth) and a weight of 7.2 Kg. NZXT leaves the linear design for a more curved structure, thus giving it a more sporty design. Currently we can find three versions: full black, full white and the third model (the one analyzed) in black and red, which is great with the base plates that fit these shades.

The front is made of plastic and is completely smooth. The only thing to note is the logo engraved in the lower area. As we can see it does not have 5.25 ″ bays and it is already becoming a classic in the manufacturer's new boxes.

View of the upper area… although better to go into greater detail in the following image.

In addition to the power button, it has two USB 3.0 connections, an audio input and output for your helmets.

On the left side we find a methacrylate window that shows us the entire interior of our computer. We have also loved the red lines that give the box a more spectacular touch.

Our BB8 is looking at the left side that is completely smooth and without any imperfection?

We arrived at the back of the box, where we found an outlet for a 120mm fan (vertically adjustable to our liking), the hole for the rear connections, two expansion slots and the hole for the power supply.

Finally comment that it incorporates four rubber feet and an anti-dust filter.

NZXT Inner Blanket

The NZXT Manta allows us to install base plates with Mini-ITX format and its internal structure is made of SECC steel. As we can see in the images, the interior design is painted in matt black and electric red. This box stands out for its quality of construction, once its excellent organization and presentation have been made.

Regarding refrigeration, it has three key zones to refrigerate. A 120mm rear fan (included), two 120mm front fans (also included) and on the roof allows us to install two other 120mm fans. The cooling possibilities are endless, as it allows us to install a heatsink with a maximum of 16 cm or several double radiator liquid coolers. So we can say that it is a small and bulky box!

It is also compatible with power supplies with a length of 19 cm and incorporates a filter to catch lint.

Like all ITX boxes, it only incorporates two PCI Express slots, but in this design we recommend acquiring a graphics card with reference cooling , since the air will come out upwards and will not collide with the metal plate of the power supply. It allows us to install graphics cards with a length of 36.3 cm.

Also inside we come across an internal USB 3.0 cable, the internal audio cable and the connectors of the control panel (Power LED, HDD LED and Power SW).

The chassis has two storage zones: 2.5 ″ x 2 and 3.5 ″ x3 SSDs. The first is the one that we see in the image that allows us to install up to two SSDs, while in the lower area we have a small cabin to install up to 3 normal hard drives.

We leave you a sample of how the SSD is installed. It has a fairly simple anchorage and is as simple as later tightening the single screw.

We almost reached the end of the section with a view of the back of the box. Beautiful even for the least attractive part.

Internal controller that allows us to install up to 7 fans and the one in charge of all the LED lighting of the equipment. Quite useful this board since it saves a lot of space in the wiring.

Experience and assembly

We open a new section in our cash analysis, which we see as very necessary to extend the experience to our readers. In it we will tell you about our experience with the assembly of the NZXT Manta.

First, I would like to mention that the assembly has been relatively easy and if you have enough skill in just 20 minutes you have it ready (for lack of organizing the wiring correctly).

As we can see we have mounted an ITX motherboard, a GTX 970 Direct CU II graphics card, an SSD, two DDR4 memories and the Intel serial heatsink (It is not to our liking but we will get new heatsinks in short for mounts). Everything is tidy and very nice, right?

WE RECOMMEND YOUIntel Optane 905P Review in Spanish (Complete Analysis)

One of its strongest points is the LED lighting included in the box. As we can see in these images everything is great.

We have also tested the equipment with a GTX 1080 Founder Edition that, as you can see, stays perfectly straight and is the graphics card system that we recommend.

Camwebapp software

NZXT has designed its own CAM software that allows you to monitor your entire system with just 4 clicks. It is completely free and compatible with all current hardware.

What does the software allow us? The main thing is that it monitors the entire system: temperatures, processor loads, graphics card and the use of RAM. It also indicates the free hard disk space and internal processes.

If you are not an expert and you do not know what components your PC has, the "Build" tab will promptly indicate this. Also with all signal hairs: BIOS, frequencies, frequencies, etc…

One of the strong points is that it indicates the duration of our games, minimum, maximum and average FPS (ideal for reviews). A rather interesting option.

Finally it also allows us to overclock our graphics card. In addition to more detailed monitoring. Good job!

Final words and conclusion about NZXT Manta

The NZXT Manta is one of the best ITX boxes on the market that exists, as it has everything you need: small, beautiful space, with good air cooling, it allows top range graphics cards up to 36 cm and enough space to mount up to two 240mm liquid coolers.

The assembly is one of the most important points, since it is one of the best we have been able to do in less than half an hour. So it speaks quite well of her. We are delighted by the performance it offers.

We have also really liked its new CAM software that allows the monitoring of our entire system. Avoiding installing several programs to do the same task.

Currently it can be found in online stores between 110 to 120 euros. Taking into account everything it offers, it seems to us a really good price, although if it were for 100 euros, it would have greater expectation.
