Unboxing and design.

Like all the boxes that we have analyzed by Raijintek they have a packaging that fulfills its function: to get home well protected. On the cover we see the image of the Raijintek Aeneas chassis and on its sides all the technical characteristics and specifications of it. Once we opened the box we found the use of a polystyrene block and a plastic bag that prevents dust from entering the tower. The bundle is made up of:

  • Raijintek Aeneas box Instruction manual Internal speaker Flanges and screws

The Raijintek Aeneas is a box with microATX format that supports both mATX and ITX motherboards. Its cube design makes it have somewhat bulky measurements: 288 (H) x 380 mm (W) x 430 mm ( L ) and a weight that reaches 8Kg. In this specific case we have the version in white and with a window, which as seen in the following image gives a touch of elegance and good taste. In addition to this version we can find it in black and without a window. It is made of 0.8 mm thick SGCC steel and its front is made of plastic and a mesh-style grille that improves the flow of fresh air to the tower. We also visualize that it allows us to install a 5.25 ″ bay and a 3.5 ″ bay, both with round bevels.

We stand on the sides and see that the right side is completely smooth except for a small grille that allows fresh air to enter. While the left side has a transparent methacrylate window with a square format that allows us to see the entire interior of our equipment.

In the back area it already gives us symptoms that we are going to find two main areas. The first where the motherboard will be placed and the second the bottom ventilation and the power supply. In addition to this, we can see two 14 cm fan outlets, 5 expansion slots, two outlets for liquid cooling, a hole for the rear plate and another for the power supply.

The upper part is divided into three zones. The first we have 4 USB connections, the central one we find the removable grille that will expel all the hot air from the equipment and on the right we have the entire control panel and audio outputs / inputs. Finally, we find four plastic legs with a good area of rubber adhesion that will avoid any type of vibrations and will provide firmness on the surface.

Inside

To open the tower we must remove the four screws on both sides. Its interior is completely painted in black and is divided into two areas. Where we will house the motherboard and the second where we will find the hard drives and the power supply. As we have advanced in the unboxing of the box it allows us to install as many micro-ATX motherboards as mini-ITX. As we see in the images, the box contains a total of 5 cable management (cable organizers) that will avoid any wiring mess.

The Raijintek Aeneas allows us to install heatsinks with a maximum height of 18 cm, a power supply with any type of depth, and even graphics cards with a maximum length of 31 cm. Above storage comes complete with 4 removable 3.5 ″ / 2.5 ″ plastic trays.

We have to talk about refrigeration, we have two 12 cm fans as standard and the box allows us to install a maximum of four fans. The configuration is as follows:

  • Front Fan: 120mm × 4pcs 200mm fan or 240mm radiator Rear Fan: 140mm × 2 Top Fan: 140mm × 2 or 240mm radiator Side Fan: 140mm × 1
WE RECOMMEND YOU Raijintek launches 13mm thick Aeolus β-RGB fans

This cooling system allows us to install a double radiator liquid cooling kit on the roof or a single radiator kit in the rear.

The box's internal wiring consists of USB 2.0, USB3.0 connections, audio cable, turning on and resetting the equipment and molex power connector to power the pre-installed fans.

And here with all the lights on.

Final words and conclusion

Raijintek does it again… a TOP product is removed from the sleeve at a price within the reach of any pocket. The Aeneas is a high-end box for Micro ATX or ITX motherboards, 31 cm graphics cards or heatsinks with a height of 18 cm and an excellent distribution to store all the power wiring.

The box allows us to install up to a total of 9 fans, of which 4 are already installed as standard. This distribution allows us to create an optimal air flow without the need to purchase any optionally. Although its design may or may not like it… which is clearly spacious and we can choose between black or white.

After performing performance tests, we find processor temperatures of 22ºC and full performance of 45ºC, while the graphics card achieves a maximum of 52ºC. What a performance!

Finally I would like to highlight the possibility of installing a total of 4 storage units with size 2.5 ″ or 3.5 ″. In short, we are in front of a unique box that will surely be a TOP sales in the coming months.
