The Fractal Design R3 can be found in black and titanium. It is a box with dimensions 20.7 x 44 x 52.1 cm and weighing less than the Fractal Define XL of 12.50 kg. With a silent design: anti-vibration panels, ultra-quiet fans, large capacity of hard drives, a minimalist and attractive aesthetic.

The Fractal Define R3 comes protected in a large cardboard box. In the front they sell us the product and in the back it informs us of all the characteristics.

They come perfectly protected.

In question we have the Fractal Design Define R3 Titanium, which as we can see in the image is beautiful. There is also its variant in black.

Manual.

We start at the bottom of the box. 12 cm outlet, removable filter and quality legs.

Fancy legs.

Washable filter and easy use.

Box sides.

The roof of the box allows us to install two 120 / 140mm fans. Liquid cooling possible?

The Fractal Define R3 control panel has audio input / output, power button, 2 usb 2.0. and eSATA.

The door includes a sheet that dampens noise.

The 5.25 ″ trims can be easily removed.

The front area has two reserved spaces for 120 mm fans (incorporates one) with washable filters.

The back incorporates a 120mm fan.

As usual in Fractal, it uses the black / white contrast in PCI slots.

The fan holes are covered. Noise? No thanks.

From a first glance we realize: fantastic aesthetics, excellent cable management, fans, cab with up to 8 hard drives and filters.

On the floor we can install a fan to insert / extract air.

The power supply will not vibrate, thanks to Fractal's anti-vibration system.

The accessories in the box are stored in a box.

It includes:

  • Tornilleria.Rehobus.Chapita from 5.25 ″ to 3.5 ″. Flanges.

As we expected, Fractal has not disappointed us with its popular “Fractal Define R3”. Made of sturdy steel, fantastic design (precious Titanium) and an excellent hard drive cabinet (up to 8) compatible with solid state drives (SSD).

The box is lined with foils that eliminate the annoying noise of 90% of PCs (Fans, HDDs, graphics cards). Which is also installed in the fan holes. We are clear is a 100% SilentPC box.

It incorporates 120 mm low speed fans. Engine noise? Does not present. We also have the possibility of installing a small rehobus that allows us to regulate up to three fans. All a success on the part of the Swedish company.

During our test bench we have verified that the Fractal Define R3 sends the noise to the ground and it does not come out directly.

We would have liked that the disk booth was removable for the installation of graphics cards of extreme sizes and the incorporation of some USB 3.0 port. (Although there is an upgrade kit).

The Fractal Define R3 Titanium is the Performance box par excellence. We can find it in stores with an approximate price of € 85 and € 90.
