Icy Dock presents your product in a small cardboard box. In it we can see an image of the product and on the back all the characteristics of the Rack for 2.5 ″ discs.

The bundle includes:

The ICY DOCK MB992SK-B is painted in matt black and for added security we have a safety.

It supports up to 2 2.5 ″ SATA hard drives / SSDs.

The bottom is designed with small holes for excellent cooling. Although current SSDs do not need any extra dissipation.

The trays are completely removable. To carry out our tests we have used a 256GB OCZ Vertex 4.

And its installation is very intuitive.

The SATA 1 connection allows us to give you power and data transfer. And SATA 2 allows us to reuse the SATA port.

TESTS:

ICY DOCK MB992SK-B is a small removable black RACK, compatible with SATA 6.0 and in which we can insert up to two 2.5 ″ hard drives in a 3.5 ″ bay (floppy drive).

In our tests we have used a solid state hard drive, specifically the 256GB OCZ Vertex4. In our tests we have obtained the same values: 419 MB / s in Sequential reading and 511.2MB sequential writing. We do not have to worry about refrigeration since it incorporates grilles throughout the steel casing for good dissipation.

The MB992SK-B also allows us to remove the disks hot from the operating system and obviously perform any type of RAID that supports the motherboard without loss of performance. The recommended price ranges from € 40, a very good price for such an interesting rack.
