To test the actual performance of the heatsink we are going to stress the CPU with full memory floating point calculation (Linx) and prime number (Prime95) programs. Both programs are well known in the overclocking sector and serve to detect failures when the processor works 100% for long hours.

We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For this test on Intel processors we will use the “Core Temp” application in its version: 0.99.8. It is not the most reliable test, but it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The test bench will be around 20 / 21ºC ambient temperature.

The new Ninja 3 makes use of MAPS technology (Multiple Airflow pass-through structure) , consisting of eight U-shaped copper heatpipes, a nickel-plated copper base, 1040 gr in weight and accompanied by a 12-slot Slip Stream fan as standard. cm. For its installation it uses the comfortable anchoring system "Super Flip 2".

In our test bench we have used our Intel i7 2600k processor with an overclocking of 4800 mhz and 1.38v. We have compared it to the Corsair H60. The performance has been somewhat lower, but we are talking about a heatsink with a single fan and acceptable temperatures for an i7 2600k at 4800mhz: 79º FULL and 39ºC idle with Prime 95 Custom.

Although we would have liked to test its performance with two fans. But by not bringing another set of clips, it has been impossible.

Scythe has released a fantastic review of the Ninja, gaining in aesthetics and performance. Its price is suitable for any consumer, ranging from € 35 ~ 40.
