Scythe announces cpu cooler smokes 2 for 60 usd

The sequel to the famous Fuma cooler is coming, the Scythe Fuma 2 is designed to provide great air cooling with far fewer space conflicts.

This announced new model uses sloped heatpipes, which along with its slim front fan, fit behind the memory of most motherboards. Meanwhile, the shortened bottom flaps on the back allow it to fit both before and after the rear modules of the four-channel motherboards.

This should create fewer conflicts with any motherboard at space levels.

The purpose of all this thinning was to lower the height of the Kaze Flex 120 x 15mm and 120 x 25mm fans compared to the original model. The result is great airflow with a total height of just 154.5mm to improve clearance on the box side panel.

Scythe says that the Fuma 2 offers 15% more thermal capacity than its predecessor, the SCFM-2000 model fits most Intel consumer motherboards starting with the LGA 775 socket onwards, and most sockets Consumption AMD from AM2 (excluding TR4).
