Scythe smokes, a compact and powerful dual tower heatsink
The Japanese firm Scythe has announced the availability of its new Scythe Fuma heatsink based on a double tower design and which arrives to offer excellent performance.
The new Scythe Fuma heatsink is based on a compact double tower design with a height of 149 mm that will allow it to be installed in many chassis in a very easy way. The Scythe Fuma is accompanied by two Scythe Slip Stream 120mm fans with PWM control and the necessary clips to install a third fan if the user wishes. The fans can rotate at a speed between 3000 RPM and 1, 400 RPM, offering an excellent balance between performance and silence.
The Scythe Fuma uses 6 6mm diameter copper heatpipes that are soldered directly to the cooler base, made of copper, for maximum heat transfer from the CPU to the dual aluminum finned radiator. Both the heatpipes and the base are nickel plated for a better finish and greater durability.
The Scythe Fuma with the two included fans installed reaches a weight of 920 grams. The bundle includes thermal paste, a backplate and the Hyper Precision Mounting system for easy installation on both Intel and AMD equipment.
