From Benchlife it is leaked that Intel has started shipping its first Skylake-X processor wafers to its top buyers of computer assemblers like some top-tier analyst or overclocker.
Skylake-X LGA2066 are starting to send samples
As we have previously seen, these new processors will have a total of 2066 pins (more than the 2011 Broadwell-E), DDR4 memory and a TDP of 140W. As expected we will find 10, 8 and 6 core processors although it is not known if any last minute beast will arrive. The same happens with its LANES, which can be 44 for the 10-core model… That is to say, totally different from the 40 that there are currently. Will the smallest of the 6 cores continue to hold 28 LANES? It is all unknown.
We recommend reading the best processors on the market.
It is expected to be released in early 2017, as the output of the Kaby Lake processors will be seen first. Are you waiting for the Skylake-X exit or do you prefer another platform? As always, your opinion matters to us.
